Hillsdale-Lenawee-Monroe Mathematics & Science Center (HLM M/S Center) seeks to provide leadership on key issues related to science and mathematics education. The Center serves as a super key leader in the Building a Presence for Science network, supports a Michigan Math Leadership Academy team for Professional learning and networking, and will be involved in assembling a similar Michigan Science Leadership Academy team.

In addition, the HLM M/S Center has been involved in coordinating Middle School Math Initiative efforts between the Hillsdale Intermediate School District, the Lenawee Intermediate School District, and the Monroe Intermediate School District.
